KJN Alison is the school owner of Lowestoft Kuk Sool Won and is also the programme director for both schools.
Biography
Pyung Kwahn Jahng Nim Alison started her training at Beccles Kuk Sool School in 1981.
After taking some time to have her two children she achieved her Black Belt in 1991. In 1986 along with her husband Martin she helped to establish the Lowestoft and Halesworth Kuk Sool Schools and has been involved ever since.
Achievements
- 2nd Dahn UK Grand Champion 1997
- Winning two Gold medals and two silver medals at 2000 World Kuk Sool Championships in Houston Texas
- Sports Woman of the Year for the Waveney region 2000
- Lowestoft School owner – Winning eight consecutive 1st place titles from 1998 ~ 2006
- After continuously practising for over twenty-five years Master Alison received her 5th Dahn Black Belt Masters Degree promotion in 2007 at the Waterlane Sports Centre Lowestoft. Grandmaster In Hyuk Suh officially presented Alison with this prestigious grade

My Husband KJN Martin, Master Philip Holmes my first instructor, Master Alex, & Master Sung Jin Suh and finally Master Choon-Ok Harmon, whom Alison finds a great inspiration for female practitioners.
Media
Master Alison has performed many exhibitions and demonstrations worldwide, including in South Korea and the US. She was also part of the UK team that was invited to perform at the ‘Beckhams’ World Cup party and describes the event as something ‘truly amazing’ and had to pinch herself several times to see if the experience was real.
