Guidelines and InformationGrading

Kuk Sool gradings are held four times a year, usually in March, June, September and December. The instructor will notify students if they are eligible to proceed toward their next belt levels. Good / poor attendance can often be a deciding factor whether a student is ready to put forward for the next grading.

It is always the Instructor’s decision if a student is ready or not. However if you have fallen behind schedule for any reason, please ask for additional support or help to get you back on track.

Promotions

Promotions are announced the following week, this will be followed with a formal promotion the week after. Students promoting will need to dress in their Do-Bok (Martial Art Uniform) to be awarded their new belt or stripe. Friends and family are always invited.

Attendance

Students that are going to be absent for more than 1 week, please notify the
office in advance.

Attire

Come to class clean and well groomed. This means coming to practice with a complete and untorn uniform; it should include trousers, jacket, belt and a black T-shirt or leotard. Your Do-Bok jacket should be worn left over right. Do not wear jewelry to class. Jewelry can cause injury to you and your classmates and you may damage or break your jewelry.
